While this is beautiful, it is cheaply made and sewn. The edges are not even. The material is very thin. I wouldn't order one from here again. My other one is much nicer and made better.
First let me say it is beyond beautiful it is more burgundy than bright red. But I wanted burgundy so hence the choice. I love the embroidery. I will be purchasing another. As far as the smell is concerned not a smell just the essence of the Dead Sea. It is made in Israel which is what I prefer and suggest. Thanks again

Well made, beautiful, I was humbled to be able to use it in a prayer service/women’s event at my church. I didn’t notice a smell. I gifted it to a friend that teared up, when I pulled it out of the bag. She had never seen a navy blue prayer shawl. I ordered another one for myself.
